To be innovative in the oncology space, it is necessary to utilize both technology and patient-centric clinical services. One innovation that makes a tremendous impact for patients is the ability to receive more care in the comforts of home. It is what drives our mission at Reimagine Care.
Since the pandemic, patients and providers have realized that virtual, at-home care is not only possible, but it is effective, faster, and less expensive. Creating programs focused on cancer care outside of the traditional brick and mortar setting is the obvious next step.
According to our 2023 Consumer Research, 82% of patients with cancer want to receive cancer care in their home and 93% want on-demand access to their oncology team. Reimagine Care is empowering patients with care at home and on the go, producing a better overall treatment experience, strong clinical outcomes, and increased satisfaction for patients around the country. There is an additional sense of comfort and control offered to patients when given the option to stay home for care versus needing to come into a hospital. It saves patients and their families significant time, while also reducing the risk of hospital-acquired infections and unnecessary exposure to other illnesses. Concurrently, physicians are able to focus more of their energy on their most critical patients.
The Virtual Care Center, comprised of oncology RNs and APPs, works alongside a patient’s care team and leverages technologies like SMS text with advanced AI technology, remote monitoring, and electronic patient reported outcomes to proactively manage patients while allowing clinicians to identify and assess symptoms in real-time. The format in which cancer care is being delivered is being reinvented. Telehealth has been commonplace in the primary care setting but only recently has the expansion of virtual office visits made its way into oncology, which is overdue for the seamless integration that these innovative care platforms can provide. Reimagine Care is proud to be at the forefront of providing cancer care at home.
